Many postings are engineering, support, finance operations or analytics inside a larger company. The band follows the process you will own and the shift you will work. A night-shift role should say so, and the allowance should be visible in the letter.
- Ask the shift and the overlap hours with other offices.
- Ask whether the band differs for day and night shifts.
- Confirm the campus or office, not just the city.
Compare Hyderabad with another city on one table
Put fixed pay, variable pay, expected rent and office days side by side. A lower CTC with a shorter commute and the same scope can leave you better off. A higher CTC that is mostly variable can leave you worse off.
